STAR ACTRESS Opeyemi Aiyeola Delivers Baby Boy in London

This is definitely the best of times for popular Yoruba movie star, Opeyemi Aiyeola as the light complexioned diva was delivered of a baby boy last week Tuesday,27th September,2011 at a London hospital.

This is Ope’s 2nd baby in the last 3 years. Married to London based socialite, Olayiwola Owolonse she is presently in a joyous mood and has been telling whoever cares to listen that she is the happiest person on earth following the arrival of her son.

Ope is one of the most popular actresses that stormed the movie scene in the early 2000’s before relocating to London in 2007 following her marriage to Olayiwola. The actress who lives in Camberwell, South-East London met her husband in 2006 during her first trip to UK.

Olayiwola had gotten her number through a friend in 2004 and they got talking and became friends. In 2006 they met in London and before anyone could say, hey, they started dating. Few months after they started dating they got married in an elaborate wedding in Lagos and London.

Nigeria’s leading dancer-choreographer, Kafayat Shafau a.k.a Kaffy has hinted that she will be releasing a pregnancy DVD for pregnant women to work-out to and also learn a few things about being pregnant.
Kaffy who is about six months pregnant and in her final trimester revealed this in an interview with HipTv at Eko Hotel and Suites on Saturday, October 3, 2011 where she was rehearsing for the recently held MTN Project Fame West Africa Opening Gala and concert. Kaffy is a faculty member of the reality talent show and also a dance instructor.

Kaffy also said that she isn’t slowing down much on her dance routines even though many people think she should take a break until she has taken delivery of her child.

‘Definitely I’m still working. Right now I’m working on Project Fame as a choreographer and faculty member so I’m still working. And I said to many people, it is not a disease, it is not cancer, it’s pregnancy and to a certain level, it’s ok if you are naturally physically fit before you are pregnant as you have periodic check ups’ Kaffy said.

In July, the entertainer announced she was four months pregnant and will be getting married to Joseph Ameh (a drummer with Psquare‘s band) in October.

WEIRD MC PREGNANT?

Weird MC (born Adesola Idowu) is a Nigerian rapper, songwriter, and producer. Known for her catchy English/Yoruba lyrics,and androgynous appearance, Weird MC is one of Africa's token number of female rap artistes, and one of the few Nigerian women associated with Afrobeat.

Though, Weird MC has not been in the news for a while.But weeks back,a close source to the rapper reveals to us that she is pregnant though personally I doubted it. But from all indications,it seems the source is right. She was spotted at a high profile event held recently in the industry, one glance at her revealed that she has added weight on strategic areas of her body with swollen face.

Weird MC is aware of the rumours going round but has refused to make a statement-confirming or denying it.  Could She Be Pregnant?

STAR ACTRESS: Tonto Dikeh’s ploy revealed

Before she recovers from one scandal or controversy, she is neck deep into another. Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh seems not to be bothered by her name being the headlines for all the wrong reasons. A close source to Tonto recently reveals to us that the controversial status of the actress is deliberate on her part.

According to the source, who chose to remain anonymous; Tonto feels that no matter how hard she or any of her peers for that matter works, they could never keep in line with the likes of Genevieve or Omotola and for that reason she had to find a way to keep up with fame and relevance in the industry.

This is why she has chosen to toe the controversial path and from the look of things it is definitely paying-off for her.

Joke Silva, Olu Jacobs Renew Marital Vows

For the lot who attended actress Joke Silva’s 5oth birthday celebration in Lagos yesterday, Thursday September 29, 2011, it was an opportunity to watch the prolific screen goddess renew marital vows with her husband of twenty-five years – Olu Jacobs.

Though well advanced in age, veteran actor Olu Jacobs glowed with joy as he and his beautiful bride repeated after Pastor Tony Rapu of This Present House church, the ‘for better for worse’ commitment. Joke was clad in a flowing Boubou while English Olu wore a cream shirt over pants.

And with that single deed performed before friends, family and well-wishers, the couple put paid to rumours of separation or a falling marriage. The informal part of the occasion was compeered by delectable Kate Henshaw while singer Yinka Davies and her band provided music for the night. There was a special rendition of Westlife’s ‘Flying without Wings’ by Timi Dakolo.

Joke’s 85 year old mother was in attendance as well as wife of the Ekiti state governor, Erelu Bisi Adeleye-Fayemi among Nollywood celebrities. And not even the pouring rain could dampen their joys.
