BANKY W FOR COCA COLA
SENSATIONAL R N B SINGER, BANKY W SPEAKS ON MARRIAGE PLANS
Talented musician Bankole Wellington aka Banky W is arguably one of the most popular artistes on the African music scene.
Knowingly or unknowingly to him, Banky, as he is fondly called by fans, has been labelled a senior bachelor. This is on account of his refusal to get married despite being romantically linked with several ladies within and outside entertainment industry.
In a recent interview, the ladies' man and E.M.E leader opened up on marriage plans .I am not in a relationship. I don’t know why my last relationship didn’t work. It is when a relationship works that you will get married. Until then, I am working on being a better man.
So that when the right lady comes, I can give her all she wants. I will get married when I find the right lady. So a lady there is vacancy.

EME's LOOKING FOR A FEMALE ACT!
The main reason itself came from Banky W’s statement to a Studio 53 Extra interviewer few hours before Demuren’s tweet. W, also a director at the label, and the A&R mind behind the signing of Wizkid and Skales, said the label is hoping to soon have its own first lady.
‘It’ll be nice to have an EME first lady‘, Banky told —– during the interview which aired on MNET last night.
It’s uncertain who the label is considering or whether at all they’re considering anyone yet. And if they are, it’s very unlikely it’ll be a project for this quarter – Skales’ album is priority for now, those close to the label say; as well as the R&BW album from Banky.
Meanwhile, Mo’Hits and Chocolate City are also hoping to sign their first set of female acts too. Mo’Hits said at a press conference last year they’re hoping to use the next edition of Koko Mansion to find a female talent the label will push. No details have been announced.
AT LAST ! BANKY W OPENS UP ON WIZKID ALLEGED WOMANISING
But it’s so disheartening that, there has been much controversies for Wizkid.
Wizkid has faced with too many controversies through the year, ranging from impregnating an undergraduate, to allegedly stealing the Pakurumo song, to the internet unclad picture scandal, the rumoured affair between him and sexy actress Tonto Dike and other ‘illicit’ affair-he’s sure got a bagful of scandals rocking his back.
In a recent interview,Banky W reacts to Wizkid alleged womanizing and the rest of the rumour.
First, the Bible says train your child the way he should go so that when he grows,he will not depart from it.So,I believe if you put the right thing in place and the right training in place and you do the right thing at the beginning.I think Wiz has a good training spirit and I believe he has learnt that from his parents because I took him up two and half years ago.He has great parents and we love them and we have constant communication with them.
We need to thank them raising a solid boy like Wiz.So,I am acting as his big brother and boss and I constantly talk to him and the other artiste,Skales.I try to instill discipline in them and level of focus too.
Obviously, they live with me and it is very easy to checkmate them and provide the disciplinary roles necessary. So,they take to my advice.
Asked, there were some unpleasant reports about Wizkid. As his boss,I want you to react to some.He was alleged to be a womanizer? He said On the alleged womanizing and the rest of the rumour,I am not a stranger when it comes to rumour. In fact,I have a lot of experience when it comes to rumour and it’s always coming up when you have become a recognized figure.
There are lots of people that will love you and appreciate you and at the same time, some people’s job is to slander your personality. They will spread as many as possible rumours about you.If you ask them why they are spreading the rumour, they will not have a definite answer other than they don’t just like you.
With that,Iam not going to address anybody that wants to tarnish my image and that of my artistes.
MUSIC: DOWNLOAD Banky W's NEW SINGLES ‘Setting P’ + ‘Lowkey’
The EME boss has been quite busy; grooming his label acts Wizkid and Skales and yes the results have been fruitful. But before we forget that the singer first made an entry to the scene with his music and not his business sense, he whets our appetite with two new singles Setting P and Lowkey, from his forthcoming album R&BW.
Setting P (which is a slang used to describe covert ways of initiating an intimate relationship with someone) is hard hitting with the drums. Banky‘s swift and melodious delivery does justice to Masterkraft’s up tempo beat.
Low key, produced by Sarz, takes on the opposite route; slow and classy, Banky reminds us why he is considered one of the best in his field. Not bad at all.

Macaulay…. come off it, who’s next?
We just think it is the latest trend.

Nigerian 5 richest Entertainers
- Tuface–Born Innocent Idibia, the former member of the band, Plantashun Boyz, is said to be among the richest artistes in the industry. With two platinum records in his kitty, Tuface is speculated to be worth about N550m. It comes as no surprise as he has had endorsement deals with brands like Guinness, which earned him N20m and Airtel, which earned him N22m this year. He was also said to have earned N30m from the producers of Phat Girls movie, and charges between N4m and N5m depending on the show. The artiste has invested heavily in real estate and stocks, where he earns big bucks. He once said he was set to recover all the wealth taken from Africa.
- BANKY W – Also known as Mr. Capable, Banky W has proved to Nigerians that he is capable of being among the richest entertainers in the industry. He makes the bulk of his wealth from gigs. He is said to charge between N2.5m and N3m per show and performs three to four times in a week. He is a brand ambassador of Estisalat, one of Nigeria’s telecommunications giants, where he featured in their popular commercial, 0809ja for life. He also featured in Coca Cola-Nigeria’s World Cup theme song and Microsoft’s Anti-cyber Crime Initiative. Banky W is an entrepreneur and has invested heavily in businesses that are fetching him good money. As a philanthropist, he founded the Mr. Capable Foundation, where he provides tuition fees for indigent and brilliant students.
- D’banj– Popularly known as the Kokomaster or Mr. Endowed, D’Banj is one artiste that has a penchant for making money. D’Banj certainly has a passion for business. Apart from music, Mr. Endowed has other businesses, which include Koko Mansion, a TV reality show, Koko Lounge, an upscale hangout in Lagos and UK, Koko Foundation, a charity and the recently-launched Koko Mobile under his label christened, Koko. The bulk of his money comes from endorsements – his endorsement deal with Globacom telecommunications cost N70m. He has a multimillion naira endorsement with an energy drink, Power Fist; a deal with the makers of Virgin Colour soft drink; and another multi-million naira deal with a popular jeweller. He has a deal running into millions with Chris Aire, as the face of his watches and another one with UAC Foods. He collects between N5m and N7m as performance fee for local gigs; $80,000 to $150,000 for African shows; £40,000 to £60,000 for UK shows; and $50,000 to $60,000 for American shows. Like his boss, Don Jazzy, D’banj also bagged a recording deal with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music; this will not only boost his career, but also the fee he attracts. D’Banj once said, “I work hard so that money, awards, endorsements, bookings and kokolets chase me.”
- P- Square– The singing and dancing duo, Peter and Paul Okoye, are unarguably among the richest in the industry. They won the KORA award for Best Africa Artiste 2010. The award came with $1m (N150m). Shortly after, the duo got an endorsement deal with Globacom telecommunications worth about N240m for four years. The hip-hop artistes had one of their greatest international gigs last year. Their American tour of seven cities earned them a whopping $1m (N150m). After a misunderstanding with their landlord, the duo built a house they named Squareville in the same neighbourhood. The house, which they completed in less than six months, is valued at N300m. They own Rayfield Hotel, Jos, and two multi-million naira factories in the same city, where they built a multimillion naira bakery and sachet water companies for their dad and mum, among other investments. The bulk of their wealth comes from concerts, especially in Africa. The duo have sold above 14 million copies of their CDs since 2005. They are said to charge about N2m per show.
