DJINEE AND MANAGER PART WAYS AFTER 2 YEARS

The media has been filled with stories of the alleged separation of popular singer Djinee and manager Sijuade Oluwaseyi Adedokun fondly called Siju but Nigeria Entertainment Today has confirmed the rumours as we spoke to both parties. Yes, after two and half years of working together, the singer and his manager have called it quits.

The alternative Djinee confirmed the news saying that he and his manager just wanted to move on. No quarrels were involved as their separated amicably. ‘I worked with Siju for like two years but we have known each other as far back University days. It’s been fun working with him’, Djinee told Nigerian Entertainment Today in a telephone conversation.

The reason for the split? Djinee says both parties felt they had to move on to bigger things. ‘I’m working with a new team and planning to release my next album pretty soon’, he explained. Siju also confirmed the news; stating they both had to ‘move on’. ‘A lot of success and awards have come out of it, we worked for an awesome two and a half years’, Siju told NET.

As one of the Most Experienced Talent Managers in the Nigeria Entertainment Industry, Presently Siju is the President of the Artiste Managers Association of Nigeria, (AMAN) and he works for CREAM ENTERTAINMENT that manage the likes of KWEEN, IJEOMA and ORITSEFEMI.

Both parties have known each other for about 8 years and had been friends right from their days in Ladoke Akintola University. Sourcesclose to them say they still are very good friends. Edo state born Djinee (real name Osayamen Nosa Donald) was once a Veejay at Soundcity before he began singing professionally in 2005. He dropped his popular single ‘Ego’ and subsequently his debut self-titled album which featured the popular single ‘Overkillin’ in 2009.
