James, a student of a university in Dagupan City, was picked up on Christmas Eve charges of slight physical injuries and maltreatment.
His alleged victims Jessica Brestford, 20, and Chinyere Nzeigwe, 20, have told police that Bartholomew got angry when the duo came to his apartment to collect the money he owed them.
The victims said Bartholomew pushed them one by one down the stairs and threatened them, police said.
Police are preparing the charges against the him.
