TELL, THE PUNCH, CLASSIC FM, SHINE AT NIGERIA MEDIA MERIT AWARDS

On Saturday, December 10, 2011, the 2011 edition of the Nigerian Media Merit Awards was held at Akure, the Ondo State capital.

The awards night saw Nigerian weekly news magazine Tell, cart away nine awards, the highest of the night. Other big winners were daily newspaper, The Punch who won seven while The Nation, Channels TV who won five awards.

Lagos based  radio station Classic FM 97.3 were awarded the best Radio Station of the Year while the award for the best TV station of the year went to DAAR communication’s AIT.
