MADONNA PERFORMS HER SUPER BOWL DREAM SHOW IN ROMAN AND EGYPTIAN COSTUME!

Madonna fans, the quintessential pop diva finally got to perform her “dream performance” during the Bridgestone Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show at Lucas Oil Stadium on February 5, 2012 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Madonna made her grand entrance draped in a golden robe, seated in a golden lit, carried by muscle-bound men.

Dressed in Roman pteruges – a skirt comprised of protective leather strips – a leopard cape, a jeweled spiky Egyptian style headgear and thigh-high stiletto heel boots, Madonna sang and danced, with Nicki MinajNicki Minaj in platinum wig, M.I.A. and Cee Lo Green joining her in a glittery floor-length black gown, gospel singer style, accessorizing with dark glasses.

Madonna’s fellow dancers also wore similar Roman styled costumes with pteruges skirts, pairing animal prints with knee-length trainers to resemble roman caliga boots.

The Material Girl sang a medley of her hits over the decades, joined by her backup singers and dancers and a gospel style chorus, in a duet with Cee Lo Green.

Another high-light from the show was the amazing tightrope performance by the acrobat in a sort of Roman tunic with golden high-top trainers.

The Super Bowl halftime show was put together by Jamie King and the Cirque Du Soleil. Madonna spoke about her performance outfits in a press conference on February 2, explaining that they were made with a “great attention to detail.” And as she promised, there were no “wardrobe malfunctions!”

The action-packed performance ended with a message of “World Peace” spelled out in the crowd with thousands of golden lights in a pitch black background and individual lights in the crowd.
Only one criticism from yours truly – the show was a bit too short! Enjoy my slide show of some key moments from Madonna’s half time performance at the Super Bowl and hope you got to see it.
