Michael Jackson’s Mother Is ‘Very Happy’ With Conrad Murray Guilty Verdict

Emotions were running high in the courtroom when Dr. Conrad Murray was found guilty of manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson, and his family is ecstatic with the news. Michael’s mother Katherine said she is “very happy with the verdict,” outside the Los Angeles County courtroom.

The Jackson family was a strong presence in the courtroom throughout the trial and when the verdict was read on Monday they gasped with emotions. Katherine was silent but pulled out a tissue and cried when the judge read the “guilty” verdict and served justice for her son.

Randy Jackson was rubbing his mother’s shoulder when the verdict was announced and Michael’s sister LaToya let out an audible yell in the courtroom. Outside the courthouse Michael’s brother Jermaine Jackson told HLN’s Jane Velez-Mitchell “Justice was served,” and his sister Rebbie Jackson said “Thank you so much.  I’m just happy that it’s over with, not that it will bring him back but I’m happy he was found guilty.”

LaToya said “Michael loves everybody out here,” and said she felt the presence of her brother Michael.  “He was in that courtroom and that’s why victory was served.” Dr. Contrad Murrray was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and was handcuffed and immediately remanded to jail.
