NICK CANNON QUITS RADIO JOB TO FOCUS ON HEALTH

Actor Nick Cannon has quit his job at the New York City radio 92.3 NOW in an effort to treat himself; the 31-year-old announced in a statement released on the radio’s website on Friday, February 17, 2012.

Cannon has been the host of the weekly Friday show ‘Rollin’’ for two years running. Last Wednesday he announced that he was hospitalized over the weekend for two blood clots found in his lungs

‘Under doctor’s orders, I have been asked to put my health first and cut back on some of my professional commitments in order to allow my body to get the rest that it needs to keep up with the demands of my multi-tasking schedule’, Cannon said.

In January, Cannon, husband to R&B singer Mariah Carey was admitted into the hospital after suffering from what his wife, called ‘mild kidney failure’. He was later discharged and resumed work on January 17.

The couple welcomed a twin set of babies – Son, Moroccan and daughter, Monroe in April 2011.
