CAUSE OF HEAVY D's DEATH REAVELED

Seven weeks after his shocking passing, the cause of death of Jamaican-American actor, rapper, record producer and singer Heavy D has been revealed.

According to TMZ, a conclusive autopsy report shows the 44-year-old rapper died from a ‘pulmonary embolism caused by deep leg vein thrombosis’.

A pulmonary embolism is a blockage of the main artery of the lung or one of its branches by a substance. It is often caused by blood clots which travel in from other parts of the body. Doctors say the blood clot had formed in Heavy D’s legs.

It is now believed that his long flight trip from Europe back to Los Angeles may have contributed to the anomaly. Heavy had performed at the Michael Jackson memorial concert in Wales.

The L.A. County Coroner’s report had stated that the rapper died of natural causes.

The rapper was buried on Friday, November 18, 2011 at the historic Grace Baptist Church of Mount Vernon.

CHINESE MEAT GLOW IN THE DARK

A Chinese couple from Sichuan province were appalled to see the meat they bought from a local butcher was glowing blue in the dark after they had hung it on the wall to keep it away from their cat.

But local health officials chided their concerns when they reported the ‘glowing meat’ to Chinese media outlet Sohu, saying the butcher could have purchased cows sold in Changsha, Hunan Province, called ‘garbage beef,’ because the cattle live on garbage in a landfill until they were old enough to be butchered and served on dinner table.

A worker in the landfill who had tasted the ‘garbage beef’ said ‘the taste seems different from normal beef, a little sour,’ perhaps due to some metal from electronic waste, molds and germs they’ve eaten from the garbage.

But according to an old BBC article, the most likely culprit was a bacterium called pseudomonas fluorescens. This type of bacteria were naturally present in the meat and could multiply quickly if not stored in correct room temperature and have a unique feature, it glowed in the dark.

Although Rick Ross was forced to scrap several shows in October due to a pair of seizures, the rapper’s reps denied his health was the reason behind the latest cancellation.

Ross’ reps told reporters, that the Nigerian show has been cancelled due to “unfulfilled contractual obligations.”
“Rick was very excited to attend this event as it is the biggest festival in Nigeria and he is quite disappointed that he will not be performing.

An unidentified middle-aged man was on Christmas day found hanging from a tree in an apparent suicide at Leventis Bus stop, at Marina.

No one knew who the man was or where he came from as there was no ID on him after a search was conducted on his body. The police eventually came and took away his corpse.

John Legend is getting married! The Grammy-winning musician has reportedly popped the question to his model girlfriend, Chrissy Teigen.

Cindi Berger, representative for the "Ordinary People" singer, confirmed the news Tuesday, saying, "John Legend and his girlfriend, model Chrissy Teigen, got engaged over the holidays while vacationing in the Maldives.” No other details surrounding the engagement were provided.
