WEIRD MC PREGNANT?

Weird MC (born Adesola Idowu) is a Nigerian rapper, songwriter, and producer. Known for her catchy English/Yoruba lyrics,and androgynous appearance, Weird MC is one of Africa's token number of female rap artistes, and one of the few Nigerian women associated with Afrobeat.

Though, Weird MC has not been in the news for a while.But weeks back,a close source to the rapper reveals to us that she is pregnant though personally I doubted it. But from all indications,it seems the source is right. She was spotted at a high profile event held recently in the industry, one glance at her revealed that she has added weight on strategic areas of her body with swollen face.

Weird MC is aware of the rumours going round but has refused to make a statement-confirming or denying it.  Could She Be Pregnant?

STAR ACTRESS: Tonto Dikeh’s ploy revealed

Before she recovers from one scandal or controversy, she is neck deep into another. Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh seems not to be bothered by her name being the headlines for all the wrong reasons. A close source to Tonto recently reveals to us that the controversial status of the actress is deliberate on her part.

According to the source, who chose to remain anonymous; Tonto feels that no matter how hard she or any of her peers for that matter works, they could never keep in line with the likes of Genevieve or Omotola and for that reason she had to find a way to keep up with fame and relevance in the industry.

This is why she has chosen to toe the controversial path and from the look of things it is definitely paying-off for her.

Joke Silva, Olu Jacobs Renew Marital Vows

For the lot who attended actress Joke Silva’s 5oth birthday celebration in Lagos yesterday, Thursday September 29, 2011, it was an opportunity to watch the prolific screen goddess renew marital vows with her husband of twenty-five years – Olu Jacobs.

Though well advanced in age, veteran actor Olu Jacobs glowed with joy as he and his beautiful bride repeated after Pastor Tony Rapu of This Present House church, the ‘for better for worse’ commitment. Joke was clad in a flowing Boubou while English Olu wore a cream shirt over pants.

And with that single deed performed before friends, family and well-wishers, the couple put paid to rumours of separation or a falling marriage. The informal part of the occasion was compeered by delectable Kate Henshaw while singer Yinka Davies and her band provided music for the night. There was a special rendition of Westlife’s ‘Flying without Wings’ by Timi Dakolo.

Joke’s 85 year old mother was in attendance as well as wife of the Ekiti state governor, Erelu Bisi Adeleye-Fayemi among Nollywood celebrities. And not even the pouring rain could dampen their joys.

Ikechukwu reconciles with Mo’hits

Since the surprising performance between the Koko master D’banj and Ikechukwu Onunaku at the Sprite triple jam held in August this year which saw both artistes dolling out lyrics from Ikechukwu’s hit tracks Critical and Wine am well, music buffs had concluded that whatever made the later walk out of the Mo’Hits family in 2010 may have been finally forgiven and forgotten.

There had been more speculations that their once robust business and personal relationship will speedily rekindled. But things may just not be the way they appeared.
