NDLEA ASKS COURT TO SUSPEND BABA SUWE SETTLEMENT

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency today, Wednesday, February 8, 2011, asked the Ikeja High Court to temporarily suspend the execution of an earlier court judgment directing the agency to pay Nigerian actor Baba Suwe N25M.

Presiding judge Justice Yetunde Idowu had on Thursday, November 24, 2011 ordered the agency to compensate the comedic actor for his unlawful detention.

‘If you can treat a Nigerian citizen this way, what are you portraying to the outside world?’, the judge said.

‘The client’s case is valid and we are prepared to follow this case to the very end‘, the actor’s counsel Bamidele Aturu told NET in a phone conversation earlier today.

On Wednesday, October 12, 2011, Baba Suwe was taken into custody by the Agency, after being suspected of attempted cocaine trafficking. He was detained for a period of 24 days.

He was released on the order of Justice Idowu on November 4 after the NDLEA could not find substantial evidence to detain him further.

The ruling on the application has been fixed by the judge for March 2.

CEE LO GREEN THE $10, 000 SUPER DOWL STRIP CLUB ADVENTURE

Cee Lo Green reunited with his boys from Goodie Mob this week ... inside an Indianapolis strip club ... and TMZ has learned the crew treated the stripper ladies to a five-figure thunderstorm.

Cee Lo and his boys met up in Indy for some pre-Super Bowl partying Wednesday night ... and decided to take the festivities over to a local gentlemen's establishment around 1:00 AM Thursday morning.

Sources inside the club tell us ... Cee Lo requested lap dances from "the baddest b*tches in the club" ... and the group rewarded their good behavior by making it rain with roughly $10,000 in cash.

We're told there were other famous people in the club at the time -- including some NFL players -- but they were no competition for Team Cee Lo, who easily commanded the girls' attention.

Guess the change in his pocket was enough.

Nigerian pop duo Psquare are currently in Atlanta, US shooting the video for ‘Chop my money’ off their fifth album ‘Invasion’. The video features a star cameo appearance from Konvict Music boss Akon who has in recent times been tied with the twins.

It’s uncertain yet who will fill the recently vacated judge's chairs on "The X Factor." Did you say Beyonce Knowles? One thing's for sure it won't be her. That is, if Simon CowellSimon Cowell is to be believed.

Last week “X-Factor” had a major shakeup where judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula AbdulPaula Abdul along with host Steve Jones getting the axe. And while the rumor mill twirled with gossip about Cowell offering "Single Ladies" singer Knowles an enormous sum to come in, the fame bad tempered Brit says it's not happening.

In an interview with “Extra” Cowell said he had no idea where the scuttlebutt came from. He read it online that he offered Knowles $100 million a year and he said that’s a complete nonsense.

Cowell also admitted that Fox executives began talking to him about a shakeup at the beginning of the year and it had to happen straight away. He also revealed that “X Factor” has been a lukewarm success and that his announcement that the show would be bigger than the “American Idol” was too ambitious.

"It's only because I opened my big mouth and said we were going to get 20 million [viewers]," Cowell said. "If I hadn't said that, everybody would be saying the show was a huge success."

Some weeks back, news broke out that the marriage of talented actor Prince Jide Kosoko and wife,Henrietta has crumbled.

It was alleged that Henrietta packed out from her husband’s residence in Ayobo,to an undisclosed location in Lagos.

It was also alleged that the reason behind her moving out was because the veteran actor married a third wife who is equally living with them in the same house.
