THE TOP TEN WORST MOVIES OF ALL TIME!

In this list of the ten most horrific movies of all time it is important to have in mind that they are my personal horror stories. It is an unnatural gift I have to sometimes pick a very shitty movie and sit through the whole thing. Even though ten minutes into the movie I find out how bad it is my body keeps me through the whole thing. To accompany my reviews on these bad movies I will include the Rotten Tomatoes ratings just to clarify how shitty these movies really are. Some though might have lower ratings, but my opinion will still stand in the shitty ranking order of my past. So here are my top ten most horrible movies that I have seen.

Number 10: Dylan Dog Dead of Night(2011) Rotten Tomatoes rating: 6%

Actors: Brandon RouthBrandon Routh, Sam Huntington

This particular piece of movie crap was bestowed upon me in the form of a mildly entertaining trailer that I thought could amount to a decent funny zombie movie somewhat in the same vein as Shawn of the dead. Oh Boy was I wrong. I rented this on the American Redbox for a dollar, and I should have just burned the dollar than rent this movie. Based on a comic of a Paranormal investigator the main character tries to be an ace detective solving crimes of the underworld with vampires, werewolves, and many other mythical creatures. The acting is appalling the Main character Dylan puts in a performance that makes a tree look stiff. Graphics and monsters lack imagination, and the only parts trying to be funny come from one lines of a singular pathetic side kick. Save yourself some time from this movie, it will turn you into a zombie for sure.

Number 9: Envy (2004) Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 6%

Actors: Ben Still, Jack BlackJack Black

Oh how I remember this one. When I first saw this movie existed I wondered why I had never heard of it. A movie with Ben Stiller, and Jack Black who at this time was riding high on his relative fame, these two in a movie had to be good. Oh how naïve I was to think this direct to DVD movie was anything more than the premises of Envy shitty! Jack Black was played the co-worker of Ben Stiller that invented a “spray” that made mounds of dog poop disappear. As the title Ben Stiller became envious of his extremely rich friend. That is pretty much it, as the jokes about poop were even shittier than the name of this movie. It was rumored that Ben Stiller hated the final version so much he refused to release it to theatres, thus the direct to dvd.

Number 8: Street Fighter the Legend of Chun-Li (2009) Rotten Tomatoes rating:4%

Actors :Kristin Kreuk, Chris Klein

It is movies like this that really le me know that there exists no higher power. If a movie like this can so butcher a video game series I love so much, then I give up on life. This movie has bad graphics, shitty acting, and even worse scripting. It is as if someone had a layout plan for how to ruin the childhoods of a generation this is one of them. Along with certain Indian Jones movies.

Number 7: Date Movie, Disaster Movie, and Epic Movie Rotten Tomatoes Scores: 6%

Actors: Too many

I have grouped these especially horrible movies together to save the shitty space that will go down below. These movies have varied on the genre they try to portray and make fun of. With very little success in terms of jokes, and actual plot lines these movies are nothing but industry fodder. Even the jokes that joke about the disaster movies, or super hero movies or horrendous, they could have simply said wow look there are a lot of super hero movies. That one minute video would be better than the plethora of crap they made in these three films.

Number 6: Deck the Halls (2006) Rotten Tomatoes: 6%

Actors: Mathew Broderick, Danny De Vito

OK so this movie delves into a new category of bad Christmas movies. There are some good Christmas movies that are near to my heart such as A Christmas Story, and The Grinch. But there is something about rebranding washed up actors into insane Christmas plots. This movie is about a man played by Mathew Broderick who is the labeled Mr. Christmas, when a rival comes into town to take his title. The whole movie is one character trying to one up the other in Christmas Lights. Literally brain numbing.

Number 5: Son of the Mask (2005) Rotten Tomatoes: 6%

Actors: Jamie Kennedy, Alan Cummings

Another crappy sequel to the wacky and lovable Mask with Jim Carrey, this movie is set with a family somehow finding the mask the dog and baby both turn into the mask baby and dog I guess. The whole thing is an excuse to use the Mask name. It sorely misses Jim Carrey, and any semblance of a script. The jokes are tired while not relating to a young or older audience. A bad movie overall.

Number 4: Boat Trip (2003) Rotten Tomatoes: 6%

Actors: Cuba Good Jr., Horatio Sanz

Ok so when I was a teenager this came out and from the previews I thought it was going to have lots of raunchy jokes and some nudity. However what I got was the most gay references and jokes I had ever seen. Though I mean jokes they are more like attempted jokes when Cuba and Sanz best friends go on a boat cruise to one get over an ex girlfriend, and two get as much ladies as possible. When pissing off the travel agent they get on a gay cruise. The build up is ok, but then the hour and change of bad gay joke after the other comes highlighting gay people as a stereotype and making a shitty movie.

Number 3: Daddy Day Camp (2007) Rotten Tomatoes: 1%

Actors: Cuba Gooding Jr., Richard Grant

Another fantastically crappy Cuba Gooding Junior movie, following in the footsteps of the just average Daddy Day Care with Eddy Murphy, Daddy Day Camp is exactly the same plot but with a different failing actor. To keep the camp afloat a military father is brought in, and then little side adventures happen. Literally all there is to the movie is men taking care of kids. I wanted to get up and leave but my dumb ass had to sit through the whole thing and watch Cuba do another bad movie for probably a low paycheck.

Number 2: The Master of Disguise (2004) Rotten Tomatoes: 2%

Actors: Dana CarveyDana Carvey

This hunk of junk came into existence to try and play out a SNL skit that was funny for 5 minutes, but not for an hour and a half long movie. The plot starts with a waiter who impersonates everything he can, and finally when his parents are kidnapped for some weird reason, Dana Carvey enlists his Grandfather to help him train his disguises. Finding out his family has a long line of magical abilities to transform into anything they wish, apparently one of them is a turtle. This is a pathetic movie that lacks imagination even with their disguises. Should have been kept as a mediocre SNL skit.

Number 1: Freddy Got Fingered (2001) Rotten Tomatoes: 11%

Actors: Tom GreenTom Green

This one is a very personal choice. As you can see it has the highest Rotten Tomatoes score out of the previous choices but for me it was the worst movie I have seen in my entire existence. Just from the outset Tom Green is a slacker son who is just horrible to his family, especially his dad. Tom Green’s character then creates a cartoon he sells for one million dollars and spends the entire amount to get back at his dad in the end. Stupid plot but the scenes in the movie is what makes this shit journey unbearable. He builds a skateboard half pipe in his back yard and doesn’t nail in a board properly leaving him to bleed everywhere. It is an obvious ploy and set up just to have a shock in the movie, ten minutes just to see some blood. He eventually accuses his father of sexually harassing him, and gets more disgusting and pointless. If you spend your life without seeing this movie you are a better person for it.

APPLE, FACEBOOK, GOVERNMENT ARE BIGGEST THREATS TO INTERNET, SAYS SERGEY BRIN

Government restrictions on the internet, curbing freedom of speech, was quite the hot topic recently, when the US government considered introducing two anti-piracy bills that incensed both the industry as well as the public and many websites, including Wikipedia, famously went off line in protest to the possible government strictures.

Of course, though the bill in particular, ACTA, was agreed upon, it has yet to be ratified by its signatories, but that doesn’t mean curbing freedom of speech only comes from the government or so Google co-founder Sergey Brin says.

Speaking to British newspaper The Guardian, Brin said that it wasn’t just governmental restrictions that should be a concern but also the rise of near monopolistic organizations like Facebook and Apple. In his interview, Brin referred to the internet and tech giant that are leaders in their respective fields as "walled gardens," saying that because of their increasing presence and dominance, the possibility of innovation is becoming increasingly restrictive. Speaking to The Guardian, Brin said, “There are very powerful forces that have lined up against the open Internet on all sides and around the world,” adding, “I am more worried than I have been in the past. It's scary.”

Brin was very particular about the effects of Apple and Facebook on the internet, categorically stating that had Facebook been around at the time when Brin and Larry Page started Google, they would not be able to launch their now singular search engine.

"You have to play by their rules, which are really restrictive. The kind of environment that we developed Google in, the reason that we were able to develop a search engine is the web was so open. Once you get too many rules that will stifle innovation,” said Brin, as quoted by the same report of The Guardian.

The Google founder also commented on apps and the restrictions they impose, saying, "There's a lot to be lost. For example, all the information in apps – that data is not crawlable by web crawlers. You can't search it."

Brin felt that because of government legislations like ACTA, SOPA and PIPA, and the aforementioned "walled gardens," the "openness" of the internet, something that he says was the founding ethos of the internet, was under threat.

Brin was particularly concerned about the way the government was aiming to clamp down on internet freedom. He said in this regard, "I thought there was no way to put the genie back in the bottle, but now it seems in certain areas the genie has been put back in the bottle.”

And responding to the question of privacy and user data protection, Brin said, “We push back a lot; we are able to turn down a lot of these requests. We do everything possible to protect the data. If we could wave a magic wand and not be subject to US law, that would be great. If we could be in some magical jurisdiction that everyone in the world trusted, that would be great … We're doing it as well as can be done."

(VIDEO) TUPAC IS BACK: PERFORMS LIVE CONCERT WITH SNOOP DOGG AND DR. DRE

Tupac fans must have done a double or triple take when they saw what the phenomenal advancement of technology can do. Looking like he did 16 years ago, tats and all and sounding as hard-core as the day he dropped his last rhyme, Tupac Shakur commanded the stage with his trademark edge, giving fellow rappers-- the ever cool and 'smoove' Snoop Dogg and Dr.Dre-- the rawness his fans enjoyed before he was gunned down in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 7, 1996 at the age of 25. He died 6 days later and fans everywhere were in shock.

Now they get a chance to see him perform again. Did he rise from the dead? No, just the modern marvel of holograms. Many said he looked so real, they were spooked for a minute. The hologram of the late rapper is indeed life-like. Check it out by clicking on the above video to witness 'a miracle:' 2 Pac is back, baby!

(Warning: video performance contains mature content and language that may be offensive to some).

Holograms might be new to the West but they are very popular in Japan and widely used. Singing sensation Hatsune Miku sells out stadiums in Asia and has millions of adoring fans. Many in Japan wait for hours to buy tickets to hear this popstar sing. The punchline? Miku is a hologram like Tupac. (Click on the link below to see this modern marvel perform).

TUPAC HOLOGRAM

The rapper, born Lesane Parish Crooks in East Harlem, New York June 26, 1971, later changed his name to Tupac Shakur but most called him by his stage name 2Pac. At the time of his murder, the young rapper sat at the top of the pile, along with rival Biggie Smalls better known as the Notorious B.I.G.. Smalls too was gunned down at the prime of his life on March 9, 1997 in Los Angeles. He was only 24.

Tupac sang about such violence and lived his life on the edge as well. To date, no was ever arrested or charged for his murder.

But whether he lived "The Thug Life" or not, he was good at what he did --so good that even in death, his music continued to sell, making him na serious contender on the Rap/Hip/Hop scene. By 2007, he had sold over 75 million albums worldwide.

'I MISS MY WIFE EVERYDAY, BUT THERE'S NOTHING I CAN DO' - 70 YEAR-OLD EBENEZER OBEY

70 is an age attained by very few people.

Juju musician turned Preacher, Evangelist Ebenezer Remilekun Aremu Olasupo Obey Fabiyi is lucky to be one of those few.

Born on April 3, 1942 into the family of Late Mr. And Mrs. Nathaniel and Alaba Fabiyi, from Idogo in Ogun state, the musician has, through hardwork, consistency and favour, grown through the years to become a living legend; and an inspiration to many.

The celebrations that characterised his last birthday – his 70th – are a testimony to the many lives he has touched; the many friends he has; and how wide his influence spreads – from entertainment to politics, business, education, medicine and traditional leadership.

Obey chose music as a career as far back as 1957 when he was just 15 years old, and launched his debut into the market with his first album Ewa Wo Ohun Ojuri in 1964.

According to him, in a recent interview with The Sun, ‘the gift of music manifested itself right from primary school; I became a member of the school band. I later became the school band leader. I didn’t learn music, it was in-born. It was the gift of God. I belonged to a music department called Ifelodun Marble Orchestra band which later changed into Ontario Marble Orchestra, I was the smallest in the band, but I played all the drums and led the vocals. I formed my own band in 1957, Royal Marble Orchestra because the elders in the former band lost interest’.

And it’s a blessing he eventually succeeded in his chosen career, because, according to him, his mother wanted him to become a lawyer or a doctor.

‘My mum had her reservations about music‘, he says. ‘She didn’t want me to do music. Her reasons were that musicians smoke hemp, and indulge in a lot of vices, like joining bad gangs and become gangsters. We settled it and that helped me till date. The warning was always in my mind, I tried my best to steer clear of every vice my mum warned me about’. He recalls a childhood in which his parents made sure he and his siblings didn’t lack anything; ‘We ate the best food, but we weren’t pampered. My mum was strict and disciplined’

Going down memory lane, the Juju maestro remembers when he relocated to Lagos, where he learned more about music under the tutelage of Fatai Rolling Dollar. But, he says, as he got older, it got more difficult to ignore a higher calling.

‘I struggled for 11- 12 years before I finally yielded to the call of God. I knew God was speaking to me from when I was young. At a point I called my wife and told her. Afterwards, I was ordained by the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa at 50′.

Obey who ventured into many businesses, including sales of instruments, Cables and brick business experienced many failures along the way.

‘I have known many successes and failures. I used to run a cassette manufacturing factory that started in 1980 until 2006 when we wanted to change to CD. So we took loans from banks but our equipment didn’t arrive according to plans. We had to sell it off to pay the bank as they gave us limited time. We lost so much and afterwards one of the papers said ‘How the mighty have fallen. Our Juju respected turned-evangelist is passing through bad times…’

But the failures, it would seem, are just a tiny dent in a hugely successful career. ‘I will say I am fulfilled because my childhood expectations and yearnings were to become a star and God made me a star’.

Married in 1963 to late Evangelist (Mrs) Juliana Fabiyi, who died last year at the age of 68, his regret is that she didn’t live to witness this day.

‘She started planning for my 70th  birthday when I was 69. So when I said I won’t do it, everyone said No, the wish of your wife is to celebrate 70’. Frankly speaking, I miss her every day, but there is nothing I can do. But since God has called her, he is the owner, the giver. He will not tell you when. We only need to prepare for it by our deeds’. God can only limit his mercy on to an age. It is there for us throughout our days on earth. Children of God do not have to be afraid of death’ he said.

On remarrying again, the evangelist said, ‘We are about to give out my grand children in marriage, how will it sound if [the] grandfather is getting married? Only if God says, but I don’t think I will remarry. It [would be] very difficult to think of remarrying because my wife knew everything about me’.

Evangelist Ebenezer Remilekun Aremu Olasupo Obey Fabiyi is blessed with many children and grand-children who celebrate with him as he counts his many blessings at 70.

'HOW I ESCAPED DEATH' - OJB

Two days after a nasty armed robbery attack that left him frightened and fretting, super-producer OJB says ‘it was God’ that saved him.

He shared his ordeal with NET in an interview ‘we were coming back from an event when we suddenly saw a trailer in our front. We were trying to avoid it, when a group of guys suddenly jumped down from the vehicle. One guy put a gun straight to my face and said give me your phones and all that. I looked out through the mirror and saw the other two with guns. What was surprising was that after collecting the phones and everything we had, they still shot at us’, he said, obviously still shaken
‘They shot but we were lucky nobody got hurt. How we came out of the car no one knows. I wish I could tell you, I struggled with the gun and all that, but it was all God.’

But the singer-producer, who’s responsible for some of the biggest hits of the 90s and early 2000s, says he’s putting the experience behind him and settling down to do some work.

‘I am working on an album which will be out in September and it cuts across to everyone. I have inspirational songs on it and more’ he said.
