Kim Kardashian’s 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries has come to an end. It’s over now.

Reality TV star Kardashian filed for divorce Monday from her husband in Los Angeles Superior Court citing irreconcilable differences. Kim did not give a formal reason for the split. "After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision," Kardashian told MTV News in a statement. I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don't work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best, she added.

The date of separation is listed as Oct. 31, 2011. Superstar lawyer Laura Wasser is handling the split. This divorce is the end of a super-tumultuous marriage. Just this weekend, Kim had two big solo appearances in New York City, where she looked sad and annoyed. That was telling that Kim will no longer remain with Kris.

Kris said that he is devastated to get filed for divorce as he love his wife very much. He said he is ready to contribute anything to make it run again. This shows that Humphries isn't ready to give up.

The court statement shows that Kardashian has asked the court to confirm that jewelry and other personal items, as well as earnings before and during the marriage, be considered separate property. Kim is one of the highest-paid reality stars on television with 2010 earnings estimated at $6 million from her TV show, clothing line, perfume, jewelry and tanning cream and other product endorsements and appearances.

The divorce between the couple has tensed whole entertainment media for the past week.

Study: If you're happy, your health will show it

We all know the song, "If you're happy and you know it, Clap your hands, " right?

A new study came out today that states if you're happy then it's proven you will live longer, according to CNN News. So now, we can change the lyrics to that fun little kids' song to: "If your happy and you know it, then health will surely show it, too, if your happy and you know it clap your hands!"

The five-year study said that older folks were close to 35% less likely to die if they usually felt content, excited, and happy. To top it off, the study said that researchers delved into people who may have illnesses and said factors such as depression, economic pressures, and chronic health problems.

Even the doctors involved in the study were quite surprised at the final outcome of the study. "We had expected that we might see a link between how happy people felt over the day and their future mortality, but we were struck by how strong the effect was," said Andrew Steptoe, Ph.D., professor of psychology at the University of College London.

So, with that in mind, lets all wipe those grumpy faces off--smile, be happy, let go of all your worries. Just try it! I once heard someone say, do the right thing and the feelings will follow. You don't have to feel happy to start trying to act happy--just do the right thing and let the new feelings come out.

Here's another idea: stand up on the bus, at work, in your house--wherever you are and belt out: "If you're happy and you know it clap your hands, if you're happy and you know it clap your hands. If you're happy and you know it then your health will surely show it, if you're happy and you know it clap your hands." Now don't you feel better. Sorry if everyone just looked at you funny!

The most celebrated affair of 2011 lasted for only 72 days. After what seemed like the most glorious and fashionable (thanks to E!) relationship of the last decade, the couple have finally called it quits confirming rumours that have been flying around since the past few days. Just today, Monday, October 31, 2011 Kim K officially filed for a divorce against her hubby Kris Humphries.

The reason for the sudden split up? Sources close to Kim K say that the marriage became shaky after both parties couldn’t decide on where to settle down. While Humphries wanted them to settle down in Minnesota, where he’s from, Kardashian who comes from Los Angeles wanted to stay close to her family. The 31-year-old also feels L.A is the best place for her career to grow. The sudden break up comes as a surprise to some as it is barely two months they held their 10-million Dollar wedding while other feel it was destined to crash right from the start.

The couple looked so happy at their honeymoon which they spent at Hotel Santa Caterina on Italy’s Amalfi Coast… In 2000, Kardashian married music producer Damon Thomas; their relationship ended in divorce in 2004. She also has dated in the past Ray J, NFL star Reggie Bush and US footballer Miles Austin.
