The lovebirds sat closely throughout the show and they left together.As if that was not enough,the duo were also cynosure of all eyes at the recent birthday party of star actress Mercy Aigbe on Sunday, 1st January, 2012 at La Veronique Hotel, Oregunwa Street, Oregun, Ikeja,Lagos.

The duo who initially sat at the VIP section of the hall where London-based juju singer,Sunny Melody was performing obviously had a wonderful time while the show lasted.This put a peg to insinuations that the duo were romantically linked.

Fathia drove Goriola’s Honda Element car to the event with the number plate ‘FB’ an acronym for Fathia Balogun which she used on her Nissan Jeep that no one can explain why she refused to ride in it for about a year.

The duo have been reportedly sighted hugging, kissing and cuddling.

For the records, Fathia’s marriage to Saheed Balogun broke up about 3 years ago and since then she has been romantically linked with several Yoruba movie actors and a prominent marketer.

Goriola’s marriage to Ayo Adesanya packed up more than 2 years ago and since then he has not been linked with any actress or known babe.

VETERAN COMIC ACTOR BABA SALA IS ALIVE

Contrary to rumours that made the rounds last week, that Veteran Comic actor Moses Olaiya popularly known as Baba sala has passed on, the actor is still alive.

Baba sala, was rumoured to have kicked the bucket during the week, a situation which threw the movie industry into a momentary shock.

One of his sons has refuted the rumour.

“If this problem by government agencies should continue, we may start introducing some kind of discriminatory tariff to cushion the effect of those states where operators are made to pay a lot more in local taxes and levies for service provision’’.

GEORGIA SCHOOL IMPLEMENT SLAVE QUESTIONS IN MATH ASSIGNMENT

Norcross, GA-Teaching history talking about slaves is one thing, but how appropriate was it asking slaves questions to third graders or any grade for that matter?

A Gwinnett County, Georgia school came under fire when parents questioned why a teacher assigned third graders homework that consisted of slavery questions. In the assignment the question asks, “Each tree had 56 oranges. If eight slaves pick them equally, then how much would each slave pick?"

Another question was, “If Frederick got two beatings per day, how many beatings did he get in one week?" Another question asked how many baskets of cotton Frederick filled.

"This outrages me because it just lets me know that there's still racists," said Stephanie Jones, whose child is a student at the school. The parents spoke how about furious the questions made them. A Gwinnett school district spokesperson, Sloan Roach explained, “the teachers were trying to do a cross-curricular activity.”

Roach said the teachers were attempting to incorporate social studies into math problems.

DRUG DOG BLOWS SNOOP DOGG'S COVER - DOGG ARRESTED WITH MARIJUANA

The Border police have arrested rapper Snoop Dogg at the Mexican border in Sierra Blanca check post in Texas on charges of possessing marijuana – the drug dogs had sniffed out the drug in his tour bus.

The exact quantity of the contraband has not been revealed by the police. Arrests on such charges are not new to Snoop Dogg. The 40-year old rapper had been arrested several times in the past on similar offences and convicted as well. It seems his offences ranged from carrying marijuana and cocaine to weapons.

CONCERT PROMOTER SAYS NAS WONT RETURN FULL AMOUNT FOR BOTCHED ANGOLA CONCERT

UPDATE #2: The promoter paid Nas to perform in Angola on New Year's Eve, but he failed to appear.

An American concert promoter named Patrick Allocco says that he and his son were kidnapped after Nas failed to show up at a New Year’s Eve performance in Angola.According to TMZ, Allocco, who serves as CEO for AllGood Entertainment, and his son were kidnapped at gunpoint by employees of local “concert impresario” Henrique

“Riquhino” Miguel, who had supplied money for the show.

Allocco had paid Nas and opening act Jemiah Jai $315,000 to perform two shows but both artists failed to get on flights to Angola. Miguel took him into custody as he feared that Allocco would leave the country before the matter was resolved. He and his son were passed off to local authorities, who interrogated them for seven hours before letting them go. They are still in Angola trying to work out the money issue.

"The hope is that Nas and Jemiah Jai will return all of the monies that were wired to them immediately so that our ransom may be paid and our safe return to the United States may be facilitated,” read a statement from Allocco’s people.

UPDATE: Nas is reportedly trying to return the money he accepted from his botched New Year's Eve performance in Angola so that concert promoter Patrick Allocco can return to the States. While he won't "shoulder the entirety of the blame," Nasty Nas agreed to perform the gig but called it off after a "miscommunication" about travel plans.

He is unsure of where to send the check, but is working on the solution to bring him back to America.
