EVA LONGORIA'S GOES 1920S GLAM IN "FOR GREATER GLORY"

Now that her time on Wisteria Lane is over, Eva Longoria is looking for new projects to occupy her free time.

And the “Desperate Housewives” dame is starring alongside Andy Garcia and Peter O’Toole in the 1920s period drama “For Greater Glory.”

The plot of the film is centered on the Cristero War in Mexico, and Eva plays Tulita, the devoted wife of General Enrique Gorostieta (Garcia).

In related news, Eva, a dyed-in-the-wool Democrat, is also working hard as the co-chair of President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign.

RIHANNA: GEARING UP FOR SNL GIG

 She’s the musical guest on “Saturday Night Live” this weekend, and Rihanna was spotted at NBC Studios in New York City earlier today (May 3).

The “Russian Roulette” songstress looked a bit cranky in a black jacket, red ball cap, and skinny jeans as she made her exit from a rehearsal. And it sounds like Rihanna is also participating in a few of the show’s skits alongside guest host Eli Manning.

Lorne Michaels told press, "Yes, are hoping so. We'll know [soon]. I wish I could report on everything that's been written [and] if this were tomorrow, I could. I know that there are a lot of things in the works, but I don't frankly know how they turned out. And I think it's our intention."

HALLE BERRY'S EX WANTS A FORTUNE IN CHILD SUPPORT

Gabriel Aubry is asking the judge in his custody war with Halle Berry for a half a million bucks in attorney's fees, and $20,000 a month in child support, TMZ has learned.

Gabriel was in court this morning, expecting to argue his case for the huge increase in child support, but the case was continued because the paperwork wasn't filled out properly.  Gabriel was extremely upset the matter was put off.

Sources tell us ... Gabriel believes he's entitled to the money because he needs a proper environment to care for 4-year-old Nahla. As we first reported, Halle wants to move with the child to Paris, which would have a direct impact on Gabriel's request for additional support.

PEPSI'S NEW MICHEAL JACKSON AD

Pepsi announced that it will start a new campaign with the estate of Michael Jackson. Pepsi will feature an image of Jackson for a “new global marketing push”. The campaign will also include remixes of his songs, that can be downloaded from Pepsi's homepage and a TV Ad.

“This campaign is intended to amplify our longstanding ties with pop culture”, said Pepsi's Brad Jakeman. Jackson produced several TV Ads with Pepsi in the 1980s and in the 1990s.

While filming a Commercial in 1984, Jackson's hair caught fire after Sparks that were ignited by a pyrotechnics display landed on his head. He suffered severe burns and was hospitalized right after the accident.

He ended his partnership with Pepsi in 1991. His last ad promoted the “Dangerous World Tour” ( The Tour began in 1991, and finished in 1994). In 1992 Ray CharlesRay Charles took over with a new slogan“had the right one, baby”.

The new multiyear campaign is set to start on Monday.

DIDDY BLAMES G.DEP GUILTY VERDICT ON SUBSTANCE ABUSE, ADDRESSES REUNITING WITH MASE

Diddy reflects on his relationship with former Bad Boy artists.

Diddy has remained quiet on G. Dep’s guilty conviction for a 1993 murder, but broke his silence yesterday during an interview with Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex. The Bad Boy mogul said that the confession most likely stemmed from substance abuse and that he wasn’t in his right state of mind.

“None of that was in G. Dep’s nature. When there were certain things that he was going through with the substance abuse situation, he would be a different person. But on an every day [basis], he was probably one of the nicest, most quietest, shyest, most humble cats that was out there. It was just so out of his character that it was mind-blowing and so when I had heard after the main announcement, he had retracted his confession and he basically said he didn’t do it,” he said. “I was like, OK, maybe he was under the influence when he confessed.

And then out of nowhere, they said he was convicted which was such a shame, because he’s such a great talent. And it all stemmed from substance abuse.”He also spoke on reuniting with another Bad Boy alum, Mase, on the remix to Wale’s “Slight Work.” Puff said that he and Mase are “cool” with one another and that if it wasn’t for him, he wouldn’t be where he is today.

“I didn’t know until I got the record. And then when I got the record, I was just like, whoa. I gotta make sure my part is tight so I could pass it off to my man right. Me and Mase are cool. We’ve kept in touch over the years. I love Mase. If it wasn’t for Mase, I wouldn’t be where I was at today. Me and him were like Batman and Robin. The lineup for Hot 97's Summer Jam 2012 has been announced.

The event, taking place at Metlife Stadium on Sunday, June 3rd, is set to feature headlining sets from DJ Khaled and French Montana, as well as Nicki Minaj and Rick Ross. Additional performers include Waka Flocka Flame, French Montana, Maino, Tyga, 2 Chainz, Mavado, Young Jeezy, J. Cole, Trey Songz, Wale, Big Sean and Meek Mill.  Eccentric American pop singer, Lady Gaga, has called it quits with her ‘Vampire Diaries‘ actor boyfriend, Taylor Kinney.

According to reports, Gaga broke up with her boyfriend to concentrate on her upcoming tour, which will most likely last until next year. The duo had reportedly been dating for close to ten months, but sources say they hardly had time for each other.

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga continues preparations for her tour, for which she recently commissioned a ‘Gothic castle’ set, which features towers and intricate carvings.This comes after her deal with Italian designer, Giorgio Armani, to create her costumes.

2 CHAINZ REVEALS LIL WAYNE AS A SOURCE OF INSPIRATION

2 Chainz provides insight into how Lil Wayne encouraged him to be a success.

Any emcee looking for a model of success need not look further than Lil Wayne. Accordingly, 2 Chainz made sure he paid attention to the Young Money head's advice.

"The thing behind me and Wayne was that he always believed in me as a musician, as well as being a cool dude," said 2 Chainz of Weezy in an interview with AlLindstrom.com.

BIRDMAN SAYS HE WILL DO "WHATEVER IT TAKES" TO SIGN CHIEF KEEF

Birdman says he'll pull out all the stops to sign Chief Keef to Cash Money.

It's been a big week for Chief Keef. First Kanye West remixes the young rapper's song "I Don't Like." Now, Birdman says he's trying to sign the 16-year-old.

"I like him, he kinda reminds me of us," said Birdman in an interview with MTV News. "[He's] out the streets, I think he's swagged up and I'm definitely talking to his people and I'd like to see if we can make it pop, see if I can see if I can get him to be down with the team."

Birdman continued to explain his interest in signing Keef. "That's what I like, it's a movement and he's young, I think the game needs young blood all the time," he said. "[We] need youngsters to keep it innovative, because they're new and creative in their own way. I'm into the young world, that's my thing. And I'ma do whatever it takes to make it happen."

ACTRESS SOLA SHOBOWALE BURIES DAD TODAY

Long-time Nollywood actress Sola Shobowale will be burying her late father Pa Olagookun today Friday May 4, 2012.

Reports say the burial which will be held in Akure, Ondo State will be attended by her Nollywood colleagues. Pa Olagookun died on March 5, 2012 at the University College Hospital (UCH) after a brief illness.

Shobowale made her Nollywood debut in the mid 90s. She is often referred to as ‘Toyin Tomatoe‘ after playing the part of a boisterously adventurous woman in ‘Oh father oh daughter‘, a series off the very popular Wale Adenuga-produced soap opera ‘Super Story‘

ARSENAL TO PLAY PRE-SEASON GAME IN NIGERIA.

Arsenal Football Club is delighted to announce that the first-team squad will travel to Nigeria this summer for a pre-season match in Abuja on Sunday, August 5.

In what will be the Gunners’ first match on Nigerian soil, Arsène Wenger’s side will play at the 60,000 capacity Abuja National Stadium. Arsenal’s opposition will be confirmed soon and is likely to be a leading African national team.

The Club last visited Africa during a tour to South Africa in July 1993, and is returning as a result of the fantastic support which exists for the team, not only in Nigeria, but across the entire continent.

The visit to Nigeria will conclude an exciting pre-season tour schedule for Arsenal, who return to both China and Malaysia in July, following the success of last term’s Asia Tour.

The Asia leg of the tour starts in Kuala Lumpur, when the team plays against a Malaysia XI on Tuesday, July 24. The Gunners then travel to China, to play against Manchester City in Beijing on Friday, July 27, followed by a trip to Hong Kong for a match against Kitchee FC on Sunday, July 29.
