Uche Jombo Denies Abortion Rumour

Uche Jombo seems really vexed about this abortion rumour which stemmed from a Soft-sell magazine. In discussing the issue she said;”You know how emotional I am. I have cried for smaller things but this one, I still curse the person, till tomorrow. It will only take God for me to see the person and not harm him,” she fumed,”For me, that was my biggest scandal ever. It was really damaging and I won’t stop fighting till I get justice.
Well, I’m currently in court with the soft-sell magazine, for writing what I have come to consider the worst media story in my entire life and career, which was completely false and malicious. During the world premiere of my second movie last year, Holding Hope, I lost so much weight deliberately based on my character as a Cancer patient only for this paper to write on their front page that I aborted a pregnancy at six months, hence the lost of weight.
It’s still all over the net, just Google Uche Jombo abortion, you’ll see over 500 pages…That story nearly shattered my life, my family legacy and all that I have laboured for in my entire career, in fact, it almost killed me … When you say someone aborted a six-month-old pregnancy, you are not just saying it’s an abortion, you are equally saying that person is a murderer because, six months, a baby is already formed and I don’t know where anyone gets off thinking you can lose weight by having abortion.”

Little or nothing has been heard about out-of-sight Nollywood actress Dakore Akande (nee Egbuson) since the news of her pregnancy broke out in April this year. Anonymous source revealed her pregnancy is now at an advanced stage and she has relocated to her hubby’s base in Chicago, United States for top class attention.
“The couple is excitedly waiting for the arrival of the bundle of joy, while the grandfather-to-be, business mogul and politician, Chief Harry Akande has penciled down a private jet to convey him out of the country as soon as the baby arrives,” the source said.
Since her wedding to Olumide, in January this year, Dakore has not featured in any movie. It was said to be one of the conditions her father-in-law gave her before marrying his only child that she quit the profession that brought her fame, money, and respect.

Titanic Necklace has been stolen from an exhibition at Danish amusement park

Gold-plated necklace recovered from the Titanic has been stolen from an exhibition at Copenhagen’s Tivoli amusement park. Park spokesman Torben Planks says the alarm did not sound when the jewelry disappeared Saturday morning.
“The showcase has not been broken into and the alarm didn’t go off,” Plank said, adding police were investigating the theft. “It is pretty embarrassing.” A euro1, 000 ($1,380) rewards has been offered for information leading to the retrieval of the necklace.
Exhibition owner Luis Ferreiro said the necklace has an insurance value of euro14, 000 ($19,300) but he doubted it could be sold because it is known internationally. “It was very important piece. The artifacts tell stories about the people aboard,” Ferreiro told The Associated Press. The necklace was owned by first class passenger Eleanor Wildener of Philadelphia who survived the Titanic sinking, according to maritime historian Claes Goran Wetterholm.
The Titanic sank in the North Atlantic on April 15, 1912, while making its maiden voyage. More than 1,500 passengers and crew perished. The temporary exhibition at Tivoli Park includes fine china, ship fittings and other artifacts from the famed shipwreck.

Yoruba Movies Practitioners declares war on Odunlade Adekola over GLO deal

Things are definitely looking up for our showbiz personalities these days, many thanks to the billionaire owner of telecommunication giant, Globacom, Chief Mike Adenuga Jnr. Who has over the years appointed some of these people as the brand ambassadors for Globacom. The likes of Ramsey Nouah Jnr, Desmond Elliot, Monalisa Chinda, Rita Dominic alongside others are living testimonies to the benevolence of Adenuga.
Obviously unstoppable, Adenuga again recently proved that he is turning the fortune of the showbiz around for good, decided to bring on three more artistes as signees on the Globacom brand ambassadors list. One of the people on the fresh list is Odunlade Adekola. While a lot of people thought veteran actors like Saheed Balogun, Muyiwa Ademola, Yomi Fash Lanso or Femi Adebayo could have been the most preferred; Odun came on top and was given the multi-million naira deal.
However, unless something is done fast, Odun may incur the wrath of his colleagues as he is said to have changed the fee he charges for appearing in movies now. Odun, we learnt, who was collecting between 120 to 150 thousand naira to play lead roles in films has decided to alter that. We can reveal to you for free that for you to have Odun play a lead role in your movie now, you must be ready to part a whopping N500, 000 and if you are thinking of just making him appear in your movies, then be prepared to pay N200, 000.
In another development, the latest fee Odun is trying to start collecting could lead to something else. According to a source, Odunlade who just became a Glo ambassador barely a month ago has already been finding himself in the blackbooks of a lot of his colleagues. Can you imagine what Odunlade is doing us since he went to collect money from Adenuga? We will call Odunlade from morning till night, he won’t answer our calls and these are numbers he knows very well.
When he now picks the call reluctantly and we invite him to our film location, the next thing you will hear from him is that he is under a new management now and they are the only one we can speak with. He will explain that he now collects N500, 000 to play a lead role and N200, 000 for appearance, can you imagine?
When the source was asked what is wrong in what Odun is doing if all he is trying to tell the whole world is that his level has changed. The obviously angry source responded which level are you talking about? Look, you are a journalist, we, we are actors and we know ourselves very well. Odun has no level and I know that it’s just a matter of time; he will come back to us begging.
