There is hardly anyone who does not know Lady Gaga but not many would have heard about Lady Goo Goo. Well- Lady Goo Goo does exist – and she has lost a court case against Lady Gaga.
Lady Goo Goo is actually an animation character and has taken the world of kids by storm. It is featured on the children’s website Moshi Monsters. Lady Goo Goo is a sunglass wearing blonde baby that became an instant hit on the internet with the music video ‘the Moshi Dance’ on YouTube – it was released in June and earned over a million hits per month.
Lady Gaga was aghast at the and went to court seeking an injunction – her argument was clear: it is quite possible for people to mistake one for the other and it should be viewed as an infringement of brand copyright.
