2012 GRAMMY AWARD NOMINATIONS (COMPLETE LIST)

The 2012 Grammy Awards will be presented on February 12 from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Winners are chosen from the nominees by voting from the 12,000 Recording Academy members. On November 30 four of the 78 categories were announced on live television as a part of the Grammy Nomination Concert.

The Grammy Awards honours the best in music each year as a part of a week long celebration that includes a gala event to honour the MusiCares Person of the Year. The 2012 MusiCares recipient is Barbra Streisand.

Earlier this year the Recording Academy shortened the nominee list from 109 categories to only 78; combining many categories and eliminating some specialty categories.
