DJ P WINS $250,000 FROM SMIRNOFF's MASTER OF THE MIX, SHARES WINNINGS

The Missouri deejay who made "Uneasy Listening" with DJ Z-Trip a decade ago, shared his winnings with DJ M-Squared and DJ Yonny.

Last night (January 14) in Atlanta, Georgia, DJ P won Smirnoff's Master of The Mix deejay competition. The veteran Springfield, Missouri deejay won $250,000 as this year's winner.

DJ P shared $10,000 each with DJ Yonny and DJ M-Squared, a gesture not required in the competition judged by Just Blaze, Kid Capri and Amber Rose.

“It feels so surreal – I can’t believe I’m the Season Two winner of Master of the Mix,” said DJ P in a statement. “I was up against some serious competition and really didn’t know how it would all work out because it was up to the fans to decide. I’m just thankful to everyone who supported me and can’t wait to spin for you all this year.”

Like 2011's winner, DJ Scratch, DJ P will deejay for Smirnoff throughout the year as an official party deejay.

DJ P is known for his 2001 retail-mixtape with Phoenix, Arizona's DJ Z-Trip, Uneasy Listening, Volume 1. The work was an early mash-up release, featuring tracks from Pharcyde, Del The Funky Homosapien, and others mixed with Top 40 tracks from Madonna, Pat Benatar and The Who.
