Birdman says he'll pull out all the stops to sign Chief Keef to Cash Money.

It's been a big week for Chief Keef. First Kanye West remixes the young rapper's song "I Don't Like." Now, Birdman says he's trying to sign the 16-year-old.

"I like him, he kinda reminds me of us," said Birdman in an interview with MTV News. "[He's] out the streets, I think he's swagged up and I'm definitely talking to his people and I'd like to see if we can make it pop, see if I can see if I can get him to be down with the team."

Birdman continued to explain his interest in signing Keef. "That's what I like, it's a movement and he's young, I think the game needs young blood all the time," he said. "[We] need youngsters to keep it innovative, because they're new and creative in their own way. I'm into the young world, that's my thing. And I'ma do whatever it takes to make it happen."

NICKI MINAJ INKS FRAGRANCE DEAL WITH COTY

She’s made quite a name for herself with her hit songs and crazy style, and now Nicki Minaj is looking to expand her reach into the marketplace.

The “Super Bass” songstress has announced that she’s developing a fragrance in conjunction with Give Back Brands LLC.

Nicki explained, "I have always been a huge fan of great fragrances. This is yet another extension of my creative expression. I designed the scent and bottle with my Barnz in mind."

And it sounds like Miss Minaj signed up with the right company- last year Give Back Brands had the #1 women’s launch of the year with Justin Bieber’s Someday scent.

BIRDMAN HOPES TO RELEASE 16 ALBUMS ON CASH MONEY IN 2012

Birdman explains that he wants to cross genre lines.

Birdman has high hopes for 2012. During an interview with XXLMag.com, the Cash Money Records CEO revealed that he’s looking to release 16 albums of different genres on YMCMB this year, including full-length LPs from Nicki Minaj, Bow Wow, Lil Twist and Limp Bizkit.

“I think bringing Fred and Limp Bizkit to the team gives us a different look,” he said. “We dominate rap, but we’re also trying to grow in different areas; Pop, rock, gospel, country.”

Baby emphasized his vision to expand Cash Money beyond Hip Hop boundaries. He recently revealed plans to for Limp Bizkit on the imprint, a move that puts them in rock territory.

“We’re a brand and we don’t want to be categorized as one type of brand,” he said. “I think we’re a machine and we activate and were active as a machine. I thought this Limp Bizkit move would be big for us as a brand and a machine.”

Lil Wayne continues doling out not-so-subtle shots at Jay-Z and Kanye West's group, The Throne.

It seems as though Lil Wayne still hasn't move on from Jay-Z's "Baby money" line from the Watch the Throne song "H.A.M. ," as he is still firing shots at Jay-Z and Kanye West.

At the Cash Money Pre-Grammy party, Lil Wayne tossed a few bars out for the crowd: "I met a bad red bone, I took the bitch home / I asked her what she want to watch, she said surely not The Throne."

Lil Wayne and Jay-Z have been sending thinly-veiled shots back and forth for years, but when Jay-Z's line on "H.A.M." suggested that Baby - Bryan "Birdman" Williams - exaggerated his wealth, Lil Wayne took particular umbrage to the line.

Even though Wayne previously responded on "It's Good ," Jay has yet to return fire, simply acknowledging that beef is part of the sport of Hip Hop.

After being included on Billboard magazine's annual "Power 100 List," Birdman says he wants to diversify the YMCMB roster and include other genres. When Billboard magazine put together their annual “Power 100 List,” Hip Hop took a few prominent positions in the form of Jay-Z (listed with wife Beyonce) and “Birdman” (listed with co-founder/co-CEO Ronald “Slim” Williams). Jay-Z and Beyonce took the highest spot of any Hip Hop/R&B contributors by being listed together at the number 13 slot. And Brian and Ronald Williams weren’t far behind at the number 25 spot.

The Williams Brothers have been responsible for selling over 75 million records since signing a $30 million pressing and distribution deal with Universal back in 1998. Lil Wayne, Busta Rhymes, Drake, DJ Khaled and Nicki Minaj all record under either the Cash Money or YMCMB umbrella. “We dominate Rap, but we need to dominate R&B,” Birdman told Billboard.com “We need to dominate Pop, Gospel, Country—we’re a brand so we should be able to put out all these types of music. We just got to keep grinding.” Meanwhile, The full Power 100 issue, which is on news stands now, also includes Lyor Cohen, Antonio L.A. Reid and others.

MYSTIKAL OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCES SIGNING TO CASH MONEY, PREPS NEW SINGLE "ORIGINAL"

Mystikal enlists Lil Wayne and Birdman for his first single released on the imprint.

After Busta Rhymes signed a deal with Cash Money Records last month, Mystikal has officially announced his signing to the label.

Mystikal, who is currently working on his Cash Money debut, plans to release the offering’s first single “Original” featuring Lil Wayne and Birdman tonight on the Funkmaster Flex show on Hot 97.

“It has been a truly long time since I have felt like a rapper and with this signing, and partnership, Birdman and Slim have given me my life as a rapper back,” says Mystikal. “I am ready to go. I am going to put my red Superman drawers, cape and boots on and go! This is a huge moment for me and I am truly excited to be with Cash Money Records.”

“It is an honor to get the opportunity to work with Mystikal, as we have a long history together,” adds Bryan “Birdman” Williams, Cash Money Records co-founder. “He is a great artist and his talent, combined with our hard work and strong team, is going to result in some of the best music of his career. Lil Wayne had a lot to say this week. Following news that he would be releasing Rebirth 2 and I Am Not a Human Being 2, the Young Money honcho downplayed the records during an interview, stating that they’re “unimportant” compared with upcoming LPs from Drake, Nicki Minaj and Birdman. But he was quick to voice his feelings on the Harajuku Barbie, expressing that he’s “not satisfied with anything she’s done.”

Meanwhile, he also said that he’s never heard Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch the Throne - and probably never will - while producer Kane Beatz shared was it was like to work with Weezy. On top of it all, 50 Cent hopped on the bandwagon and questioned the sales of his platinum Tha Carter IV.

Birdman Talks Money, Aspires To Be A Billionaire

Cash Money's leader speaks on why he makes more than $100 million and says he wants to be a billionaire.

When Forbes Magazine estimated Birdman's wealth to be at $100 million, he felt they were incorrect. The Cash Money leader has said that the exact figure is much higher. In a recent interview with Forbes, Birdman spoke about why he felt $100 million was so low, how he plans on making a billion and why he feels he's earned all of his success.

“I just felt $100 million was low,” he told Forbes. “With all the different entities, I think I should still be a lot more than that. $500 million. $250 million, easy … As a child I always felt if I could make $1 million, I could make $100 million. If I could get $100 million, I’m just nine steps away from being a billionaire. And that’s the goal.”
