The General Overseer of Living Faith Worldwide, a.k.a. Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, is bereaved.

The highly respected man of God recently lost his aged mother.

The incident transpired on Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at her Omu-Aran, Kwara State home town.

Specific details of the manner of occurrence is said to be sketchy at press time.

Bishop Oyedepo is said to be putting burial arrangements in place.

Mama Oyedepo died in her late eighties .She was an active worker in her son, David Oyedepo’s Winners Chapel which has its headquarter along Idiroko road, Ota, Ogun State.

AMY WINEHOUSE's DRESS SOLD FOR $68,000 AT AUCTION

Late Singer Amy Winehouse’s chiffon dress worn for the cover of her chart-topping album ‘Back to Black’ has sold for $68,000 at Kerry Taylor Auction House in London.

Proceeds from the Disaya-designed dress sale, which exceeded initial pre-sale estimates of a maximum $31,454 will go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, a charity set by father to the 27-year-old singer, Mitchell Winehouse, which seeks to provide help and relief to young people struggling with ill health, disability, poverty or drug addiction.

The dress will go on display at the Museo De La Moda, a South American fashion museum in Santiago, Chile which acquired the iconic property.

The English singer songwriter, who died in July of 2011 due to alcohol poisoning, is best remembered for her powerful deep contralto vocals and her eclectic mix of musical genres including R&B, soul and jazz as well as her sometimes eccentric behaviour.

LATE SINGER AMY WINEHOUSE HAD PLANNED JAZZ ALBUM WITH "SUPERGROUP"

Plans were afoot to record and release an album with a "jazz supergroup" by the late singer Amy Winehouse reveals her producer Salaam Remi. The 27-year-old singer who dead due to accidental alcohol poisoning this year, is said to have been planning on putting together a jazz album with a "supergroup."

According to Remi, the ‘Back to Black’ singer was hoping on teaming up with ‘The Roots’ drummer Questlove and saxophone player Soweto Kinch to make the record. Speaking to the Associated Press, Remi also informed that Winehouse had herself written all the songs. She had wanted the songs to appear on her third album for which she had even chosen the titles.

However, according to the producer at the time of the singer's death, the release of her third album would still have taken some time to come out in public as she was taking her own time with the third album. Remi goes on to inform that basically each one of her songs were kind of autobiographical. Therefore, she first had to live through something, and then only come out of it. After which she could reminisce about the same and be able to write about it, he analyzed.

Due to her untimely death, Winehouse was able to record only two songs for her third album. These two songs will be appearing on Amy’s posthumous album 'Amy Winehouse Lioness: Hidden Treasures.' The album is to be released on December 5, 2011. There are twelve tracks which also consist of two other covers and several previously unreleased tracks featured in the album itself. The sale of the album is also for a charitable cause.

From each copy of 'Amy Winehouse Lioness: Hidden Treasures' sold; £1 will be donated to the Amy Winehouse Foundation. It is the charity established in the late singer's name by her father to provide help, support or care for youngsters.

Amy Winehouse new album released in December

Kanye West says people look at him 'like Hitler'

Kanye West says he feels like people look at him like Hitler.

The 34-year-old rapper known for his outbursts was the headline act at the Big Chill music festival Saturday night, where he ranted in the middle of his set about being misunderstood and underappreciated.

"I walk through the hotel and I walk down the street, and people look at me like I'm (expletive) insane, like I'm Hitler," he said. "One day the light will shine through and one day people will understand everything I ever did." West received light boos from the crowd as a result.

The performer also defended the music video for his song "Monster," which features cannibalism and girls hanging from their necks. "Who saw the video before it got banned, before they took it down and before women's groups starting saying that a person that lost the most important woman in his life is now against women in some way?" asked West, referring to the 2007 death of his mother Donda West. West, who started his set roughly 30-minutes late, apologized to the crowd for his tardiness, saying he needed to make sure his performance was great.

"Michael Jordan changed so much in basketball, he took his power to make a difference. It's so much (expletive) going on in music right now and somebody has to make a (expletive) difference," he said.

The multiplatinum-seller is known for his outspokenness, most notably his diss toward Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, where he grabbed the microphone from her as she accepted the award for best female video and said Beyonce should have won it. "Thank you for protecting your artists that are still here," he said to the crowd. "This is for McQueen, for Amy, for Michael and for all the media, can you lighten up on all your artists that are still here?" he asked, receiving a roaring cheer from the crowd and leaving the stage with his 3-man band and 20-something backup dancers.

Amy Winehouse's goddaughter performs at UK fest

Amy Winehouse's 15-year-old goddaughter performed an outstanding set at the Big Chill music festival, mirroring her late mentor by closing her show with a cover of Winehouse's "Love Is a Losing Game."

Dionne Bromfield got teary-eyed when she performed the song, barely able to sing its last few words, though the crowd cheered her on. "She was an amazing singer," Bromfield said. "She was not only my godmother, but she was my mentor and my boss as well."

The big-voiced singer sang with ease during her 30-minute performance on Saturday, the second day of the U.K. music festival. Bromfield was a reminder of Winehouse: She stood close to the mic while belting lyrics, with her big hair and tiny build.

She was backed by a 5-piece band and dancers, performing songs from her two albums and singing mainly about boys and relationship troubles. Her scratchy voice was top-notch as she sang soul songs with pop flavors, especially on the old-school sounding "Remember Our Love" and the up-tempo "Yeah Right." She also performed covers of Cee Lo Green's smash "Forget You" ''and the Shirelles' "Mama Said," Bromfield's first single.

Winehouse, who had struggled with drug and alcohol addiction, was found dead of unknown causes at her London home on July 23.

Bromfield is signed to Winehouse's label, Lioness Records.

Amy Winehouse's Back to Black tops UK album chart

Amy Winehouse's 2006 album Back to Black has topped the UK charts eight days after she was found dead at her home in Camden, north London. Her first album, Frank, was at five while five tracks made the singles top 40 after a surge of record sales for the singer who was cremated on Tuesday. Back to Black's title track, at number eight, was her highest-placed single.

In the US, where she won five Grammys for Back to Black, the album was at number nine in the Billboard 200. Also in the UK singles chart, Tears Dry on Their Own was at number 27, Rehab  was at 29, Love is a Losing Game was at number 33 and You Know I'm No Good was at 37.

HMV's Gennaro Castaldo said Winehouse's record label had needed to produce more stock to satisfy demand. "In terms of the album sales, there was a real surge last weekend, both through downloads and people buying the CD. "But a lot of stores then ran out of stock and they've been waiting for more to arrive which it did around Thursday."

Winehouse follows in the footsteps of artists including John Lennon and Michael Jackson in achieving number one records shortly after their death.

Amy Winehouse’s Dealer: I Sold Her Drugs Before Death

Up to this point, it has been assumed that Amy Winehouse wasn’t on drugs when she died- but a new voice has emerged to challenge that claim. Tony Azzopardi has announced that the “Rehab” singer begged him to get her crack cocaine and heroin the day before she passed away.

The 56-year-old drug dealer told the Daily Mail, “I want Amy’s family to know the truth about what happened. I want to help them out, but I’m worried about my safety. ”Tony said Amy met him at a pub in Camden the night before she died, and they went to meet a drug dealer named “Mr. Big” who sold Winehouse half an ounce of crack and half an ounce of heroin for $2000.

Amy Winehouse: In Process of Adopting 10-Year-Old St. Lucia Girl

The late Amy Winehouse was readying to adopt a 10-year-old girl from St. Lucia at the time of her death, the girl and her grandmother told a UK paper. 

          Dannika Augustine says she met Amy during one of her long visits to the Caribbean island over the past couple of years. Amy often went there for R&R. She says she was living in poverty with her single mom when Winehouse took an interest in her, and that the two remain close from that point on. Dannika tells The Sunday Mirror, "Amy was already my mother." "I would call her mum and she would call me her daughter. She took care of me and we had fun. I loved her and she loved me ... She was the most amazing person and I was looking forward to living with her here or in London."

"This is the worst thing that ever happened to me." This is not a tabloid fabrication. Dannika's grandmother, Marjorie, says she was on  board with this plan, and she spoke to Amy a few weeks ago about it.
