Fliptyce, whose real name is folorunso busayo philips is known for producing some of the best songs in 2011. Klever Jay who has dropped fiya singles such as Koni Koni Love and Igborotidaru along with a well received debut album Beginning in 2009 is back with a certified jam Sme Sme ft. Faze.

This is the lead single for his 3rd album, ON POINT which is currently being worked on and should be released some time in 2012 on his JAY Recordz imprint.

Hip-Hop Act, FAZE plans to tie the knot

Hip-hop act, Chibuzor Orji popularly known as Faze is currently in a sizzling romance with Sierra Leone actress,Marian Kekurah. The two have been in the guarded relationship for some time now.

Findings reveals that in a short while they kick started their relationship, Faze was reported to have spoilt her with expensive gifts and also introduced her to top movie producers and Directors in Nollywood. According to source, Faze is planning to tie the knot with her soonest.

FLIPTYCE: The Unknown Genius

Folorunsho Busayo Philips “fliptyce/flippy” is the founder of Fliptyce Entertainment and so fly music company group.

A music producer, songwriter, singer and Geologist. Born September 23rd in the 80's and raised in Ondo State, fliptyce’s love for music and arts started at a very young age, He was in the choir through out his primary and secondary school days. He started music production early 2000.

Just like Akon uses ''konvict'' as his signature tune for his productions,will always hear "so fly" in most of fliptyce production. His first major hit production was 'OJUTIWON' for Danny Young the first artiste under his record label fliptyce entertainment which is now So Fly Music group.  while in the university (UNAD) studying geology and applied geophysics, fliptyce also focused on entertainment, as he organized big shows and events in his school
            
 In November 2007, The Nation newspaper interviewed him as one of the students making it big in the entertainment industry. He developed his sound engineering and production skills while he was in the university.

He registered his first record label “FLIPTYCE ENTERTAINMENT” during his final year in school, under which Danny Young was signed. The first product of this company was 'cross over' album which included the hit song 'OJUTIWON', which came out 23rd of October 2009.

Fliptyce produced five tracks in Danny Young’s 'cross over' album which includes 'Ojutiwon' ft Ojoro,'My girl' ft Kel and Paul Play both of which are a huge success.

He recently visited the United Kingdom to acquire more skills in sound engineering and music production,and also to work with some top Nigerian artistes based in the UK.

Fliptyce recently produced 'chop my money' for P-Square of the Invasion album. P-square confirmed that 'chop my money' is one of the best tracks on Invasion album, which was why they decided to put it on track 2 of the album. He has also started work on square records's new artiste, May-D.

Fliptyce has also worked on Faze's new album titiled 'Refazed'.He produced the brand new single ''i'm In The Mood'' the track creating buzz everywhere, with the success of 'im in the mood', faze couldn't help but produce seven more tracks with the ace producer.

The 'follow follow' crooner LKT's debute album inludes 8 good tracks of diffrent genres produced by fliptyce.

Fliptyce has produced a welcome back song for BLACKFACE the former member of Plantashun Bois.The young and vibrant producer has worked with other star artistes like YQ, vector, Ay.com, jhybo,Soul-E Baba, Olu Maintain, LKT, Klever J, Ojoroo, AY.COM, Spiderman, side one and many more.

Is Faze Broke?

Since the 2004 split of the successful talented pop trio called Plantashun Boiz, group member Chibuzor Orji – stage named Faze, has been the second most visible, trailing behind internationally recognised 2face. Despite releasing three albums claimed to have sold over six million units as at 2008, and a fourth in the works, questions are making the rounds about the vocalist’s financial and commercial state.

At a recent MTV/STV gathering where Faze made a surprise appearance. The ever-thin light-skinned singer spotted his usual casual Tee on jeans and a low cut rather than dreadlocks. And even though he didn’t say much on the red carpet, a few vigilant eyes couldn’t help but wonder what happened to the singer’s dreads. Did he shave it off cause the cost of maintenance had become a luxury? Far from that. Faze says his new look is one of the signs of the new career chapter he’s opening. Don’t be surprised if he changes his sound too…

Faze was first seen wearing not-so-cool dreadlocks in his string of late 2007 video releases. Then he pioneered the trend of South-African-shot Nigerian music videos in ‘Tattoo girls’, ‘Kpo kpo di kpo’ and ‘Need Somebody’, all from his sophomore released in the previous year.  All these following closely after his ‘Kolomental’ break. These were the premium hey-days that established the vocalist as an R&B giant headlining nearly every major gig in town.

By mid 2008 when he returned from a tour that included South Africa, the Kolomentalist had upgraded to wearing well-locked uber-cool dreads which soon became his signature. In high hopes of global domination, the then A-list star announced his new business affiliation with international music promoter Joy Tongo as he basked in the soaring status of his new single, ‘Originality’. It’s been years now and not much has been heard or seen of that business partnership. No big-budget shows. No foreign deals. No popular engagements. The result of this is narrow income and a steady decline of the singer’s rating.

A deal-gone-sour with Akon also did not help matters.

But now that Faze seems to be back and brimming with fresh excitement, we’re waiting, patiently, to see what the next few months have in stock for the singers’ singer
