PASTOR PAUL ADEFARASIN's ROCK CATHEDRAL TO OPEN IN MARCH

 Pastor Paul Adefarasin's led House on the Rock church building, Rock Cathedral, which has gulped nearly N2billion to erect is nearing completion and, if things go according to plan, will be officially commissioned in March 2012, according to those in the know. The church, which sits on 32, 000 square meters, when completed will sit at least 10, 000 thousand worshipers in the church auditorium and another 10,000 within the church premises. The Rock Cathedral, also known as Millennium Temple is situated along the Lekki Epe Express way, close to Liberty Hall.

Members of House on the Rock church currently uses the Expo Hall of the Eko Hotel for their services.

The threat of insecurity posed by militant Islamic sect, Boko Haram is the main reason Pastor Paul Adefarasin of popular ministry, House On The Rock opted to stage this year's edition of 'The Experience' indoor.

The project is a musical evangelism initiative of House On The Rock that attracts performances and visits from different parts of the world.

This year's edition held at the Expo Hall of the New Eko Hotel on Friday, December 02 2011.

It held between 5p.m and 1 a.m

All the past editions of the annual musical concert held at the open ground of Tafawa Balewa square,Onikan Lagos.

It usual enjoys massive attendance that results in mammoth crowd- a development that makes it 'a prime target for Boko Haram attack'

The Islamic extremist group stage attacks on government facilities and gathering with tendency to incur huge damage.

Security experts advised Pastor Adefarasin from giving the group 'a tempting target' by doing the norm.

Event after he heeded the advice- the ministry went ahead to put improve security parameters to forestall anything untoward at the off security risk venue.

A collage of security personel and bomb disposal unit was put on guard at the place.

And all throughout the event lives and property were kept safe.

The sixth edition of the annual gospel music concert tagged ‘The Experience’, regarded as the largest musical concert in Africa with attendance of over a quarter million, is billed to kick off on Friday, December 2, 2011 at the Expo Centre of the New Eko Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The inter-denominational gospel concert which is convened and hosted by House on the Rock founder and Senior Pastor, Paul Adefarasin, has featured some of the biggest names in music internationally and locally over time including Don Moen, Ron Kenoly, Kirk Franklin, Sammie Okposo, Rooftop MCs, amongst a host of other notable gospel music singers.

Some of the artists billed to perform at this year’s event include; internationally renowned singer-songwriter Don Moen, Chevelle Franklyn, Micah Stampley and urban contemporary gospel act Kirk Franklin.

‘The Experience’ is an annual music concert which boasts attendance of a cross section of people drawn from virtually all sectors of the economy who come together in an ambience of divine praise and worship and is seen, as stated by the organizers, as ‘a bridge of reconciliation, and a beacon of light and hope to the much afflicted and often maligned continent of Africa’.
